My photos are nominated for the Lex van Rossen Award 2010!
The Lex van Rossen Award is an annual prize to encourage young European music photographers. The prize will be awarded during the Eurosonic/Noorderslag festival in Groningen, The Netherlands, in January 2010. The award is named after the famous Dutch music photographer Lex van Rossen, who unfortunately died at the age of 57 in February 2007. Lex worked for magazines and newspapers like OOR, NRC Handelsblad and Haarlems Dagblad. He is considered to be one of the leading Dutch music photographers. Beside an additional ecouragement of EUR 2500,-- the winner receives publicity in the international photographymagazine GUP (Guide to Unique Photography). The sales-representatives of Westeinder Adviesgroep Aalsmeer were the models for their own advertising campaign. Nelleke (PR) and I visited the Avedon exhibition in Foam (Amsterdam) to get inspiration. So I organized a daylight-studio outside their office and the fun began. We didn’t forget the result at the end: all four men with their personality on photo. See the bill-board!

My nominated photo series for Tommy Hilfiger for PANL SONY AWARDS #18 in category Commissioned, People & Portrait has has been awarded! By the jury with Merit (bronze) and by the members of PANL with Best of Members! The exposition is until 23rd of April in Oude Kerk in Amsterdam. The series has been published in PANL AWARDS 2009 #18 book (winners and nominees) as well.
