Short docufilm about Tim Knol. It's a detailed story about his latest album Soldier On. I filmed backstage, at his place and during recording in studio.
We were walking through the streets of Paris to find a last photo location to complete
the serie for Tim’s next album. On our way to a
record store as well we took the wrong street.
I looked to the left and stopped: “Hey Tim, please stand over there in the middle, I think this is it.”
The perfect location at the right time with difficult light conditions: the shadows were changing quickly.
We walked on.
Tim had his record store and I just shot his cover.
He stretched his arm towards me, spread his fingers in front of my face and said with a hoarse voice:
“You’ve got five minutes".
After two minutes I had my photo. He was surprised and I asked for an extra minute. So, I pulled out an album of his former band Fun Lovin’ Criminals to get it signed. He smiled and after his show I bought some vinyl too: next time new signature.
